Renovation of 1994

The Cathedral of the Assumption has been renovated numerous times over its 150+ years, the latest being completed in 1994.  At that time, the traditional oak pews were removed and replaced with the upholstered chairs.  The flexibility allows for different seating arrangements in the worship space throughout the liturgical year.
