Infant Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated during weekend liturgies and on Sunday afternoon several times each year. Parents participate in a Baptismal preparation class and rehearsal.  Parents who have already attended the Baptism preparation class are encouraged to volunteer as leaders. Volunteers are also needed to assist the presider during the Baptism.

Baptism Policies

Parents seeking Baptism for their children must be registered members of the Cathedral of the Assumption.  Attendance at a Baptism preparation class is required.

Baptism Preparation

Baptism preparation classes are scheduled on a regular basis throughout the year.

Classes are at 1:30 pm  in the Formation Room of the Office Building:  

March 17, 2024     June 9, 2024     September 22, 2024    December 8, 2024

Dates for Baptisms at our weekend Masses on the following days:

April 20/21, 2024    July 27/28, 2024   October 26/27, 2024
