Fall classes for the Religious Education for Families (REFrence) Program begin September 12 in the Patterson Education Center. Registration forms are due now! Contact Samantha Thomeczek for more information. Children's Liturgy of the Word resumes September 12 during the 9:30 a.m. Mass in St. Louis Hall. Children ages 4-7 are invited!
Mark your calendars for PESTO FESTO, Sunday, September 19, 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the Undercroft. The cost is $6.00 for an Italian-style meal of penne pasta with pesto, meatballs, bread and salad. Come have lunch with us, reservations are not required!

The annual Filipino Festival will be held Sunday, September 26 following the 5:30 p.m. Mass in the Undercroft. Join us to savor the wonderful flavors of the Philippines! Cathedral Sunday, October 10, 2010 - Nominate someone for Cathedral Sunday Awards. Click here for award details. The menu, prepared by Mastersons Catering, will include bibb lettuce salad, grilled pork loin with maple pecan glaze, cheese grits, green beans and pumpkin cheesecake. Wine and cheese will be served in the Patterson lobby before dinner. Join us for this yearly celebration of who we are as a parish! Larry Love, a native of Louisville, has been the lead pianist for the Sunday evening liturgy at the Cathedral since 1983. In 1994, he accepted the position of “Director of Contemporary Music,” which included the planning and programming of the musical selections for the evening weekend and certain other liturgies, and the continued development and direction of the choir, “The Cathedral Singers,” and the contemporary instrumental ensemble. Larry has been playing the organ and piano for Catholic liturgy since his early grade school days at the former Resurrection Church. He is primarily a self-taught, ear-based musician, who gives credit for his talent and success solely to his God, the giver of the gift he possesses. Not without formal training, though, beginning in his mid-twenties, Larry spent 12 years in intense private piano study. Larry proudly touts the fact that he has been with the Cathedral longer than anyone else on the staff. And he quickly adds that he still loves every minute of his ministry, most especially in its success—as evidenced in the vibrant, lively musical participation of the congregation gathered each Saturday and Sunday night at the Cathedral.
